In women, warm medicated oil or decoction is instilled and retained in the uterus via the vagina. (In men, a similar procedure can be done in the bladder via the urethra.) The oil is held in place for a prescribed time to nourish the local tissues and balance doshas.

It can improve hormone balance, enhance uterine lining quality, and normalize menstrual function. By directly delivering medicine to the site, it rejuvenates the tissues of the reproductive tract and bladder.
The regimen begins with internal oleation (ingesting medicated ghee) and full-body oil massages, followed by herbal steam baths. After the body is thoroughly lubricated, targeted purge therapies are administered to flush out impurities. For example, medicated herbal enemas cleanse the colon, and mild purgative herbs may cleanse the liver and bowels. This systematic sequence of treatments is believed to revitalize all bodily tissues. For best results, Panchakarma is conducted in a calm, healing environment, often with gentle rest or heat therapy after each session so the body fully absorbs the benefits. Participants often report feeling lighter and more energetic, with reduced joint pain and mental tension. By purifying the channels of circulation and digestion, Panchakarma supports long-term health and resilience
